We’re thrilled to present be music. - ¡Music Collective Amsterdam’s very first educational family program!
Together with actor Ton Meijer, we take you on an interactive journey through the history of sound: from the very first heartbeat of music to today’s vibrant rhythms. Why is music a language everyone understands? Through stories about culture and history - from ancient cave paintings to the modern sounds of Terry Riley - Ton connects music with imagination. ¡Children join in and become part of the story!
Along the way you’ll hear masterpieces by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, and Stravinsky, performed by top musicians from Amsterdam. And to close the event, ¡you will hear Mozart's complete Symphony no. 40!
be music. is perfect for curious listeners aged 5 and up: more than a concert, it’s a chance to discover, feel, and become music yourself.
